Verborgen bestanden opnieuw weergeven

Heb je onlangs een virus of trojan gehad en dacht je dat al je bestanden waren verwijderd? Think again! Ze zijn waarschijnlijk gewoon verborgen door het vrius zodat jij alleen de bestanden die door het virus zijn aangemaakt aanklikt. In mijn geval precies dezelfde bestanden maar dan met een exe erachter. En als je die aanklikt ben je pas goed de sigaar. Die moet je meteen shift deleten. Maar dan wordt het lastig. Hoe je oude bestanden weer te tonen? Je kunt ze wel zien als je je map opties aanpast en alle bestanden toont, maar dan loop je het risico je systeem bestanden te beschadigen of te verwijderen. Je kunt het beste ze tijdelijk tonen en dan die bestanden of mappen  unhiden. Stel je hebt een map F:\Bestand. Je toont hem dan weer door ATTRIB -R -S -H F:\Bestand vanaf de command prompt te runnen (windows toets +r). En daar zijn ze weer!!! Ik vond deze informatie op Annoyances.com. Hier is de thread.

Filezilla FTP probleem bij True Internet

Heb twee dagen lang een groot probleem. Ik kan namelijk via Filezilla FTP cliënt geen flv bestand van 7mb uploaden naar een server in Nederland vanuit mijn Thaise locatie. Zelfs een kleiner bestand lukt niet. Ik maak gebruik van True Internet. Een technicus zal later vandaag later langskomen om te kijken wat het is. Als het mijn Jensen Broadband II router is zal ik hem a.s.a.p. vervangen. Maar de afgelopen twee jaar had ik geen problemen dus waarom nu wel? Ik krijg steeds een error writing 2 socket:

Ubtuntu 7.10

Ik had een tijd geleden Ubuntu Desktop 7.10 op mijn Acer Aspire 4520G Laptop geprobeerd te installeren, maar op een of andere manier wilde Ubuntu niet installeren. Er waren problemen met mijn Nvidia Gforce 8400m G grafische kaart. Tot nogi toe is het mij niet geluikt. Verscheidene malen heb ik het geprobeerd. Ik heb bepaalde niet-grafische en andere modes geprobeerd. Maar helaas, niets hielp.
Voorlopig houd ik het op XP Professional. Een dual boot-up zit er nog even niet in. Misschien als Ubuntu met een nieuwe versie uitkomt. Een waarin er rekening wordt gehouden met goede grafische kaarten van Nvidia

True Internet Verbinding

Ik heb net bij John, een Britse collega van mij in Minburi, de internetverbinding hersteld.  Hij heeft True als ISP net zoals ik. En ook hij had zelf een router aangeschaft dus kon ik niet de True instructies volgen want die gaan ervanuit dat je een Zyxell router gebruikt. John heeft een D-Link all-in-one router. Zo een met een wireless access point en router ineen. Het duurde wel even voordat de verbinding werkte. Het wachtwoord voor de router was niet bekend noch die van de router. Terwijl die wel allebei waren ingesteld. Gelukkig was de wireless zo te vervangen met gebruik van de cd rom. De router bleek nog steeds het standaard wachtwoord te hebben dus ook dat was geen probleem ;-)

Nokia N73

Ik heb mijn N73 net een jaar en nu doet de USB Data kabel het al niet meer. De telefoon lijkt steeds even contact te maken en valt dan weer weg. Erg irritant. Ik wilde hem connecten omdat ik net een Thunderbird add on had gevonden zodat ik eindelijke Thunderbird mail met mijn Nokia N73 kan synchroniseren. Ik zal nu met bluetooth moeten werken. Aangezien mijn Acer Laptop geen bluetooth heeft zal ik een bluetooth stick moeten aanschaffen.

System Fan & Pantip Plaza

Vandaag na twee weken lang gedoe met mijn Packard Bell, de computer weer aan de praat gekregen. Ik dacht OK laat ik hem vandaag even aanzetten en wat dingen testen voordat ik hem naar Pantip Plaza (ICT paradijs in Bangkok) breng om er een nieuwe CD-Rom/DVD Burner erin te laten zetten en wat andere tests te laten doen(de oude is niet compatible met mijn moederbord). Begint bij het opstarten de computer meteen te piepen! Ik denk, *(*&() weer een probleem! En net dat ik dacht dat alles weer OK was na al die burnin (Sisandra) testen, formatteren van de harde schijf etc. Gelukkig bleek het niets ernstigs te zijn. De vriend die mij met het testen van de hardware had geholpen had alle bios fan alarmen weer aangezet zodat de chips en het moederbord niet oververhit zouden raken tijdens het testen. Hij had ook de systeem fan aangezet. Bios constateerde dat de fan 0 rpm deed en dus ging het alarm af. Logisch aangezien ik geen systeem fan heb ;-) . Gelukkig ben ik daar achter gekomen. Nu staat de system fan uit en draait de computer prima. Nu alleen een nieuwe CD / DVD brander erin en dan doet alles het weer! :-)

Windows SP2 beperking TCP verbindingen opheffen

Ga naar lvlord.de en download de patch. Start de executible en het aantal TCP verbindingen worden verhoogd naar 50 max. Mijn downloadsnelheid ging meteen met 10 KB/S omhoog! Topppie! Nooit meer last van de error:

P.S. Sommige viruscheckers behandelen de patch als een virus

Deze oplossing

To prevent multihomed Windows NT servers from becoming browser servers:
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Services.

Click Computer Browser, click Properties, and then click Manual.

Click OK, click Close, and then restart the computer.

Or, use Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) to edit the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters\MaintainServerList
Change the value of this key to false, quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

NOTE: In Windows 2000, instead of the value false, use the value, no.

To encourage singlehomed computers to become the browser servers, use Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) to edit the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters\IsDomainMaster
Change the value of this key to yes, quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

Het is een kwestie van een van beide computer de Master Browser War te laten winnen. Dit soort problemen heb je alleen maar bij netwerken…….

Dit programma, Cyberlink Media Library, dat deelt uit maakt van mij preinstalleerde Cyberlink Power Cinema. Neemt gemiddeld 105 verbinding in beslag. Niet allemaal via verschillende poorten btw. Interne zover ik weet(remote address = 0.0.0.0), maar het zijn er wel erg veel. Ik zit nog even te kijken of ik hem wil uitschakelen ja of te nee. Het ligt eraan wat het doet en of ik er met mn zeer snelle PC echt veel last van heb….

irritante pop-up

Heb nu zo’n beetje alles geprobeerd, maar nog zonder succes. Nog steeds die pop-up op de taakbalk met een wit vierkantje erin. Niks bijzonders in de event log behalve unload problemen van de log gegevens. Dit zou ik met Hive Cleaner kunnen oplossen. Op mijn oude Computer werkte het iig niet!! Alle programma’s zoals Adaware, Spybot, Ewido, CCleaner en online scanners gebruikt. De pop-up is er nog steeds. Ik denk dat het toch aan mijn printer software ligt. Had er al eerder last van op de oude computer. Het is zeer waarschijnlijk de Hewlett Packard bende. Of anders toch een netwerk probleem. IK WEET HET NIET MEER!!!
